I was born in El Paso, Texas and raised in Anthony, New Mexico. I attended New Mexico State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in December 2005. Prior to law school I worked as an accountant for a CPA firm and a corporation engaged in development, investments, and asset management. While in law school, I participated in the business and tax clinic and focused on business and transactional law courses.
My legal background primarily consists of defending school districts and governmental entities in tort and civil rights matters. I also acquired in-house counsel experience as Assistant County Attorney for Doña Ana County and Assistant General Counsel at the New Mexico Public Education Department, advising on general matters.
When I am not practicing law, I spend time with my wife, visiting with family, working out at a local CrossFit gym, playing the guitar, and studying martial arts.
