Background:
Ms. Cavanaugh started with the Firm in 2010 after moving from Denver, Colorado where she specialized in Construction Defect Litigation for 9 years. Prior to practicing in Colorado, and since her return to New Mexico, Ms. Cavanaugh's practice has included a number of other areas. During the past 20 years, she has defended construction litigation, premises liability, products liability, medical malpractice and general negligence cases in both trial and arbitration settings.

Certified Equine Appraiser
Ms. Cavanaugh, is now certified as an equine appraiser through the American Society of Equine Appraisers (a division of the American Society of Agricultural Appraisers).  She has met the qualifying criteria of a nationally recognized professional appraisal association and her work will be conducted under accepted, national, appraisal standards (USPAP).

Ms. Cavanaugh is available to appraise the horses of other attorneys’ clients for insurance, divorce, estate, bankruptcy and partnership dissolution proceedings.  Ms. Cavanaugh is available to testify as an expert and will accept referrals for other general equine law issues as well.  She has 40 years’ experience with horses in the hunter/jumper area of the sport.  She is currently pursuing an “r” judging license as a Hunter judge.
